Famous as a member of the pre-fab four, he was a better musician than most probably knew. I forgot this song existed, hauntingly beautiful
 
I've been watching a lot of Youtube videos of him lately.
To me it's interesting how he he does those songs.
 
Godspeed, Nez. You were a big part of my childhood self learning to love music.

My brother took his family to see The Monkees just a few weeks ago. I believe it was Mike's last appearance on stage. He was obviously frail but he and Mickey put on a great show together.
 
There was a long time where the other three would tour without him as he felt he was trapped as being a Monkee. But he mellowed towards it as time went on and did some of their shows.
