I had no time for Fee-del. I spent....some time in Colombia. FARC, the rebels fighting..everybody in Colombia. Each squad was headed by a Cuban. Sent by our friend Fidel.
Now....each one of those leaders carried a .45ACP Colt. The guerrillas were well armed...courtesy of Uncle Castro.
When the Colombian Army decided it was in their interests to actually do something...and killed off a bunch of the guerrillas, the arms recovered...when serial numbers were checked...a lot, most, many were arms recovered by the VC from our KIA's in Viet Nam.
Or, at least that's what the US Embassy in Bogota told me.
