RIP Cheetah

One hopes he was well treated. Many movie animals were exploited in the older movies, I hope Cheetah's life after the movies was a good one.

Holy cow, what a celebrity Cheetah was! Tarzan movies were very popular and watched worldwide. As a kid I loved Tarzan movies, and Cheetah was my favorite character after Johnny Weissmuller.

And, it seems that Cheetah acted no better (or worse) than some of today's Hollywood stars (e.g., throwing you-know-what at people).

RIP Cheetah. The world's most famous chimp. :yesnod:

Elliott is still pounding the holiday cheer

Just going stir crazy don that's all. I have too much free time.

It was actually Jimmy Hoffa.......

and here I thought it was the Bill Thomas Cheetah

I knew some old Cougars, buy'em a drink, give'em a smoke and they would go home with you.

But that was in my younger days..............

I thought Bernie Madoff passed away :jester:

Uh, Eer, methinks that the whole Cheetah thing is a hoax. Apparently he died a long time ago. Wherein lies the truth.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

80 years would be a world record for chimp longevity.

And I understood "he" was a "she" in the fliks.

Quite a coincidence that Johnny Weissmuller also lived to be 80, 1904-1984.
