Hi all - Ian here, from Sechelt BC, just acquired a 1959 Riley 1.5 a late life crisis, I guess. Hoping to meet up with more Riley owners here.

Lovely! Had to look up Sechelt - pretty sure you won't hear "nice car, I saw one just like it last week" at any cruise night any time soon! :grin: BTW if you buy a 1.5 as a "mid life crisis car" as opposed to a Camaro or a Vette, I am pretty sure your life, your identity and your relationships are pretty secure - just sayin' :grin:

Welcome! You live in some really beautiful country.
I bought a Cortina MKIII in Duncan,BC years ago,& wished that I had more
time to explore the island.
 
I bought a brand new 1968 Cortina in my youth, gave up a '58 Volvo 444 for it. Worst mistake of my life! Worst car I ever owned, a real lemon. At the same time I test drove a '66 Lotus Cortina, really should have bought that instead, but the lure of a new car. Oh well, life's lessons. Don't even want to THINK about the Gullwing Merc that I looked at for $5000. Of course houses were as low as $6000 then. Ya just can't go back!
 
There's also a drive,called Gary's Run,that is usually in Washington/BC.
It was just run,but they do it every year.
It's on my list.
