"Welcome" to the Wonderful World of LBCs on "THEE" best Brit Car Forum anywhere.
Hey; I get to visit some friends in Morganton on occassion. They live on "Wesley Rd". I plan on being up there somwhere around May, 23rd. Perhaps we can get togther. I "Love" the Big Healeys! Of course; I "Love" all LBCs!! Thats probably I have owned at least one of any marque you can think of.
Hi, I am just up i-40 a few miles in Hildebran NC. I also have a Healey, as a matter of fact I just got back from a ride in it. Do you ever get to the Friday night car shows at Myra's in Valdeze? I stopped by there last week and the owner said the shows are going to start back in April. What year is you BN1? I have a friend in Hickory with a 56 BN1. mY car is a 62 BN7. I hope to see you around.
Everybody has been so kind. And yes to those folks who are nearby ... I'll try to get in touch.
My car is just about ready to begin the assembly process. The engine was totally rebuilt by Terry's Jaguar in Benton, Ill, back in 87.. has never been in the car. The body is sound though my fenders need work. In conversation with the folks at British Car Specialists (dot com) I came to realize I have car number 267 .. which was a great surprise to me. I've become re-motivated to get to work.
So, I'll be putting her together this spring and summer. I'm splitting my time between the 71 TR6 I got for my son and a Porsche 928 (timing belt replacement time). We've also got a 56 small mouth TR3 and 56 Matchless G11 motorcycle we want to work on ... but they will wait for a while... for me, the Healey and my son's car take precedence.
I may contact the Matchless club in Charlotte, though, to see if somebody there wants it... A body only has so much time and I'm finishing my 98 Thunderbird Adventurer which is the bike I intend to ride...
Pardon me for 'putting on the dog' but I just love these machines...
I'm a psych and If you're in Morganton, please stop by the office at 401 South Green St. ... I'd love to see a running Healey I can drool over. Nothing, I mean NOTHING is as beautiful as a Healey.
