Ribcase slave cylinder

I have the transmission out of my '73 to replace the straight cut gears and was thinking of replacing the stock slave cylinder with a 7/8" bore aftermarket cylinder. This should give more travel and get the clutch to release further from the floor. My question is has anyone done this and does it cause any interference issues. Thanks in advance.
