Re: "retirement" car

Our neighbor has been driving those big MB diesels for years. He buys 'em well maintained and continues the maintenance. He swears by them.

Dann,

Your signature says Denmark but the plate on your Sprite in the photo is from Virginia, USA. Are you in Virginia?

Re: "retirement" car

When I was 16 my dad had an ex Koren war half track. About 16 forward speeds. He was a general contractor and used it on the developements.

While takeing it to the shop for its annual do I was hit by a bus. A big metro type bus. Halftrack 1, bus 0. I think the driver thought I was going to get out of his way cause he was bigger. Wrong.

This thing had quarter inch plate finders.

JLaird: "This thing had quarter inch plate finders."

Sounds like my kind of car. Ever see W.C.Fields' "If I Had A Million"? He wins a fortune, and buys hundreds of cars so he can drive around and ram every bad driver off the road.

Re: "retirement" car

So, Tom, what was the final decision?

Re: "retirement" car

Tee: Love the MB idea, especially if it's a diesel. Very simple, sans ignition, you know. BUT, see my post re diesel fuel. We need a pres without the big business obligations (But is that possible???)

Re: "retirement" car
