Resuscitation to Restoration 58 100-6

It was going to be my retirement project, but we moved into a condo and i lost my private garage. So we decided to 'pay the man', as Andy Griffith would say. I've had this one for 30 years, it sat for 17 years til May 2013. I found an excellent shop in Denver (Kats) and a great body shop (Master Collision) to help me get it restored. At first, i just wanted it running (resuscitation), and Kats did that, but i quickly decided on paint, and that revealed all the woes from 55 years of fun driving. Ended up with a new Chassis from England, and the body is starting to come together again. The car is not numbers matching - its a 58 body (BN4) with a 1960 3000 BT7 engine, i'm good with that. I traced what numbers i had with Heritage and it focused on the engine having better traceability than the body. Engine from a Black BT7, realized the body once stripped was red. So final colors will be Black with red below the swage line. Maybe it will be home by this summer. IMG_1472.jpgDSCN1394.JPGDSCN1397.JPGIMG_0010.JPGIMG_0219.JPGIMG_0335.JPGIMG_1041.JPGIMG_1207.JPG

Kudos for replacing the chassis frame, instead of patching / repairing. It looks like the body men have the right "stuff".

Thanks Brinkerhoff, they have had the body for about 15 months, started thinking just panel work, and some frame work, but after they put it on the rotisserie, it offered a closer look at several 'bottom out episodes', rust and other stuff. The body guy said, he wondered if this was a racer at one time.
