Hi Craig,
Looks good!
I had my TR4's heater box powdercoated too.
Did you pressure test the heater core while it was out? I think many radiator shops can run a test on it, just to be sure it's in good condition. I ask because I didn't, and should have. Before using it I plan to take the heater back apart to double check the core.
Tinster, on the earlier cars (TR2/3/4) the heater was an optional extra, sometimes even dealer installed. However, I think by TR6 era it was pretty much standard equipment (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I bet you don't have a lot of use for a heater in PR, though!
Our No. Calif. Winters are pretty mild and the car is now pretty much fair-weather-only, so I haven't been in any rush to reinstall the heater in my TR4. About all I'd want it for now might be windshield defogging. It sometimes did come in handy in Colorado, where I drove the car daily for 8 or 10 years. However, probably could have gotten by without the heater there, too, except for the fact that during my foolish (and hardier) youth the soft top only rarely got put up except in more "serious" rain or snow.
