Shot the cockpit and boot of the 78. Turning out pretty nice.

AWRIGHT - pretty Pageant Blue!

Isn't Tahiti a lighter blue?

Dunno; I ordered some touchup paint from Tower Paint (they fill spraycans). I gave them the code I had for the Triumph and they told me it was "Tahiti Blue". I told them it was called "Pageant Blue", not Tahiti Blue. Pageant came back as a different color code. What they sent was spot-on correct, thankfully.

Dumb question, but why on earth did MG use a giant loop of tubing for the vapor seperator? I assume that's what the long length of tubing is...

Pageant on the rubber bumper; Tahiti on the chrome bumper:

That blue is real nice.

Lookin' good, Rick.

Heeheeee!!

Scotty, the evap tube loop is likely to insure ~only~ vapour gets to the seperator. I have some *dim* recollection of a problem with one of those tubes either kinked or plugged, can't remember what, tho.

As the father of a daughter who owned every little Smurf there was at the time - I know what you man about that blue colo1r

I've seen many kinked at the firewall, from lifting the hood too high (the hinge pinches it); I had no idea they wrapped the loop all around the boot panel. My 73 doesnt have that. It runs under the floor (with the brake/battery line) then into the boot from beneath and right into the seperator.

my '76 has a staw hat (the style you see in B&W shows that depict people campaigning for gov positions) shaped canister hanging out in the right wing area of the boot.

Tony - you've got PM /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
