Here's an old Moss Motoring article about an electric conversion to a TR4. I could actually see it as long as I could keep all the drivetrain components except the engine. That way I'd still get the feeling of driving an old car but only the power plant has changed.

Some of the conversions that are shown in the article show Tesla technology being put under the hood; that's a far cry (and LOTS more $) from installing a stock electric motor and a bunch of lead/acid batteries.
Now, I can see the Wright Flyer with a Rolls Royce Trent 1000 power plant :rolleye:
