Restarting my engine...after a long sleep

Ouch!

This one might be my bad.

I am accustomed to this car breaking down,
giving out, stranding me, etc.

I was getting Crypty ready to go on jack stands
and tear the back end out and install new everything.

While on my back under the car, I noticed the oil
seemed to have dried up some since I first noticed
it. The glossy sheen was gone.

Pure stupid luck, I had parked Crypty in the exact
position where David replaced the rear brake cylinders
and bled the brakes last week.

All is well, dry as can be, no drips or leaks.

My bad- sorry.
It will take me a while to trust this car.

thanks all,

d

Why don't you have Pedro come down and reevaluate it for you? He'll have you driving it to Miami, via the bridge, with his rating system.

Glad to hear that you are not having a problem. It's a bit to early for that.

Now, get Wendy and go for a nice long ride, simply because there are about 200 of us who can't due to our jobs or the weather.

Bu bu bu bu but...........

If Wendy is in the Crypt Car
and we're 20 miles from home,
who can I call to come rescue us?

I usually drive alone with Wendy
standing by the home phone waiting for
"The Call" that I broke down somewhere!!

My confidence level has risen to maybe 20%.
I plan to drive Crypty every day -somewhere
within 5 miles from home. Then extend the
radius to 10 miles, 15, etc. Maybe if I can
attain 500 miles without a breakdown, I'll
risk taking Wendy for a spin.

DPO Pedro !!! When Wendy bought the TR
his spare tire was flat so I filled
it with air. Also bought a jack and tire iron.
Checked the spare today- flat as a pancake. I
guess I better buy a new tire.

Will DPO Pedro be in our lives forever?

d

No he will not.

Eventually you will forget the jerk and what he did to you. On the other hand, would you have all of these new friends and admirers if you had not been screwed by DPO Pedro?

Hmmmm. It seems that we may have a conundrum in the making.

DPO Pedro. Is he a Sinner or a Saint? Perhaps both? Quite paradoxical, don't you think?

Hey Paul,

Dude!! You and me must be long
lost kin of some kind.

I thought I was the only person alive
to use the word "conundrum" in routine speech.

Maybe if DPO Pedro moves out of my neighborhood
and I don't have to see his smirking face all the
time..........

On the other hand, the friends I have made here
are priceless to me.

I'm in the midst of cleaning out 14 months worth
of crud and junk from the crypt. Amazing what
accumulates between a garage wall and the side
of a dead car in 14 months. Bosses orders I clean
up the mess.

I'll post a before and after photo. David has seen
the mess firsthand.

Dale, just be careful what you throw away. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Ya never know what you may "need" again. I always discover that I need something about the day after I throw it away.

It took you this long to figure that out??? Man, you have been busy with that car.

Speaking of unorthodox and dangerous uses for gasoline, as when Dale had a unique way of getting the engine to crank.I know a nifty way to inflate a flat tire without an air pump.

Hint: It involves the use of gasoline and a match

Izzat engine running?
