Felix Silla, Cousin Itt on ‘The Addams Family,’ Dies at 84

Felix Silla, who worked inside a body-length hairpiece, behind a pair of sunglasses and underneath a bowler hat in his guise as the mumbling Cousin Itt on the 1960s ABC comedy 'The Addams Family,' has died. He was 84.

Silla also played Twiki on the NBC reboot of "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" with Gil Gerard and Erin Gray. Mel Blanc voiced Twiki, except for a couple of episodes. There was such blowback on the new voice from the viewers that Blanc returned to the show.

One of my favorite episodes of the series was when they brought back Buster Crabbe, who played a retired starfighter pilot. There was some back and forth between the two of them that would only make sense if you knew that Buster Crabbe was the original Buck Rogers. I remember my Dad thinking that was great.
