would like to here about re-sleeving wheel cylinders and master cylinders,

brass vs stainless

anything else to look into ?
the wheel cylinders for this car end up about $800 if I have to buy new, there are 2 for each front wheel and one for the rear , so 6 total.

thanks for your help

I used these guys many years ago for a master cylinder on an old race car they used brass, looks like they still do. Never had any problems with it, still have the car. https://www.whitepost.com/

There is a place in California that comes highly recommended (a British car parts vendor told me about them),
Sierra Specialty Automotive and they have a FAQ on their website that discusses the brass vs. stainless steel

Cheers,

Hi Beaulieu, I will not vouch for them fellows with the fruity name. However,I highly recommend White Post Restorations as a premier rebuilder of brake parts.I have Three cars that they have rebuilt all the clyns on since correct new items are simply not available.I
have no complaints,Go for the brass with double step machining.---Fwiw---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
