Resizing pictures question

Can anyone advise me how to resize a picture so I can
post it within the desired limits here?
I just took some photos I would like to post but
the properties on the hard drive tab indicated the size's are around
324K.
I upload to Picturtrail and the properties tab indicates
84K and 300 x 225 pixles.
The request here for size limits is about 80 x 80 pixles?
As you can probally guess, I'm no computer whiz.
I started to get confused when they eliminated the wired VCR remotes......

Paint program will resize. Open in paint and use stretch\skew under image. Save to desktop and check your size.

Greg - you say "limited to 80x80 pixels".

That's for an avatar only as far as I know.

The 80x80 isn't the limit for pictures you actually want inside your posts.

Easiest way I've found to post a picture is to put the picture on a website like Photobucket or Flickr, then just add the picture's url to your post, inside a pair of brackets.

Basil has a separate help forum here that includes how to post pictures.

I use the free re-sizer that MS provides. It can be found in the "Powertoys" for your version of Windows on the MS site. Extremely easy to install and use. When installed it shows in the properties when you right click on a photo or group of photos. See the photo I have included, it is 5th from the top. Just choose the size you want and click on "OK". The re-sized photo or photos will appear in the folder you are in.

Thanks guy's.
Much appreaciated.
