resisted the urge...

Not to buy another MG. That's relatively easy for me to resist for the time being, but I resisted the urge to purchase a set of those brass MG crested valve cover bolts from Moss. I came really close paying Moss's $30 for 2 bolts...

I'm really close to falling into an bottomless pit of irrecoverability. It's difficult to stand on this slippery slope and hold one's ground and keep priorities straight. Even with the B, there are certain things that must be taken care of before one goes out and spends $30 on 2 bolts. heh

I'm just getting the chrome thumb nuts; they match the oil cap better.

Don't stop there! ...and a Cardigan, some burgundy "penny loafers" and a golf umbrella with an "MG" logo would be spiving at th' company picnic!

And you said earlier (in another post): "politically correct."

You all must be former Porsche owners.
I suppose that you have the MG toilet seat

My '65 has the most "stuff" on it so I'll count those.

Valve cover plate: 1
Valve cover nuts: 2
Grill badge: 1
Boot badge: 2
Tire valve caps: 4
Carb dash pot caps: 2
Floor mats: 2
Spare tire cover: 1
Radio blanking plate: 1
Horn push: 1
Shift knob: 1

Total: 18 /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

You're obviously 'ate up with it' Steve. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

The early cars were equipped/shipped with three as I recall, not counting under-bonnet. Without a radio the blanking plate made four.

4.
Grille,
Boot,
Horn push,
Patent label on the valve cover.

That's all I need, if the public don't know, they're more than welcome to ask. If it ever gets out of the garage.
