The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Mark Twain

Right outside my front door......wonder if HE is trying to tell me somethings?

The Ides of March are soon upon us.

We have a fairly substantial pod of them in our neck of the woods. They do a good job keeping the roads clear of roadkill.

Whales are pods - buzzards are committees (really)

However, coming to the title of this thread - if they are feeding they are called a Wake.

Hard to believe, but the apparent attraction for about 20 buzzards was one road kill squirrel.
(this group was getting an early start this morning, as I got the paper).

Must be slim-pickin's out there for the committees.

Oh no......if I put that sign up, no dog, cat, grandma or child would be safe from:
"the BBorce" (bubba + beer+ the force). I doubt Our bubba's (that rip roar down our road, giving us free beer cans along the way)
know where AZ is anyway. BTW: now that I think about it:
the buzzards may be the only ones who appreciate the BBorce.

I thought a large group of buzzards was called a Congress. Would certainly explain a lot. :glee:

I will tell you a group of alligators is called a congregation!

And a bunch of crows is a murder., then there's an ostentation of peacocks... a bunch more oddly named gatherings of animals: a parliament of owls, a knot of frogs, and a skulk of foxes.

I like the skulk one.
