No but sounds scammy.
I have seen this a LOT recently and yes they are scams... one of the channels I have followed for a long time had to put out a warning recently exactly for this issue. Some !^$#@ created a user name similar to hers was sending messages with telegram #...if it looks like a scam, rest assured - it is.
