Replacing the brake/clutch fluid reservoir

Bob
Why not just use 2 + meter long tube that also fits bleed nipple?
Plus what prevents air from being drawn into the brake system with the first pump of the brake pedal?

Fascinating mental exercise thread, I just assumed this problem was solved by having tube partially prefilled with brake fluid, leaving room for fluid expelled when pedal pushed as well as then providing a second reservoir to have all potential sources of air sucking when pedal released filled with fluid that will then get sucked in.Jay
