Replacement Tube Shock Rear-Advice

My '64 MGB Tourer had a rear tube shock conversion many years ago; judging from the receipts I would say maybe 30 years ago. The conversion is the type with the large bracket that attached below the leaf springs at the junction with the axle. I can see two types of conversions available now and the shocks used (Monroe for a 1984 Dodge Colt or adjustable Spax or KYB). I know nothing about shocks. What shocks should I purchase to replace? Mine is a weekend pleasure car for cruising around, nothing spirited or demanding. I will try to post a photo with this message.

Thanks for your advice.
