Has anyone had any experience with Macy's Garage? I'm looking to have my 56 TR3 front end restored and a disc brake converson.

Simply put Mark Macy is the best of the best! Definitely not cheap but quality work never is.

Last spring Mark rebuilt the front drum brakes on my 54 TR2 to attempt to cure the violent pulling while attempting to stop. Very pleased to say I can now stomp on the brakes with no hands on the wheel!

You will be very impressed with a tour of Mark's facility with a dozen or so TR2 through TR6s in various stages of repair or restoration.

I agree with Lou.

I had Mark overhaul (complete) MY REAR AXLE and STEERING BOX on TS43919L ('59 TR3-A) in 2016.

I like the fact that they specialize in TR2's through TR6's only & the $68/Hr shop rate is reasonable..

There may be value added at resale because Macy's performed the work?

Did the steering box rebuild make a big difference? I always thought TR3 steering problems were inherent in the design. Moss had a rack & pinion replacement but they stopped selling them.

Thanks for the comments. I had a good experence with Macy's, got the slop out of my steering, freed up the e brake and adjusted the brakes. I'll go back for some body work.
