It's not for Grannie to go to church in, that's or sure. It's advertised as NOT FOR SALE! Built just for Hertz. Ha, I wonder what the insurance tab is and I wonder how many of them will be wrecked in inexperienced hands the first year? Could be bad news for some. But what a car!

Ford Mustang GT-H: Your Rental Hot Rod Is Ready - New York Times

I'm not going to say much here but look for one of my "Rental Reviews" to be posted some time next week.

BTW don't expect to pay "$17 a day and 17 cents a mile" this time around. Try about $200 a day - first two hundred miles are free.

I rented a Hertz 'stang a couple of months ago when we were on a family vacation in Florida. The rental price was not that much more than a boring full-size 4-door. Herts had dropped the rate on these significantly since they were first introduced - no one was willing to pay the premium.

I have to say it was a fun car to drive - but in a massive over-kill kind of way (a bit like wood carving with a chain saw, or using a back-hoe to weed the flower beds). Gobs of power, really loud, but no subtlety to it. And they are big. Handling was stiff and really quite well set-up.

Certianly made me smile to drive, but was quite happy to get back home to my dear Mini Cooper!

Oh - and they make it so you cannot turn off the traction control. So no howling burn-outs in the rental car unfortunately.

Hehehe Thats what they want you to believe. But as I've learned - everything is possible if'n you know how to do it. :smirk:
