TR2/3/3A Removing transmission

It's not practical to do it that way. I'd stick to the manual's method. Maybe remove the passenger seat for better access. Support the oil pan with a 2x4 and a jack stand. Use a floor jack to support the gearbox weight from underneath before you remove the bolts. Make a couple of support rods( cut the bolt heads off two 5' or 6" bolts) to insert in the bolt holes on either side of the trans to support the weight when you pull the gearbox back. Angle it out and up and your done.
