TR2/3/3A Removing the shrunk on ring gear

Removing the shrunk on ring gear is fitting back. I have one that is very stuck and was curious about ideas other than pushing the ring off through the bolt holes. Perhaps cutting or chiseling I already broke a bolt off.

Wait, do you have the shrunk-on ring gear, or the bolt-on ? If it's the early shrunk-on, then there are no bolt holes and the only bolts are for the clutch cover.

But I guess that, either way, I'd break it with a cold chisel & BFH.
 
Yeh I should have reread the Haynes again Randle because the bolts do not go through like on a late 3 or tr4, but the heat and BFH did the job. I remember turning them 60 degrees back in the day and that would work kinda most of the time, but again I have a memory of having to carry a little wrench and turn the starter drive back off the flywheel and the most inopportune times, oh that noise.
