getting ready to remove the engine and box from my 72 and am a little stuck on removing the speedo cable.

I've unscrewed the cover that seems to hold it in place on the gbox, but the cable itself will not detach from the 'box, is there a trick to it ?

cheers, Phil.

unscrew, pull....that simple.
probably just a little stuck...
careful, dont break anything..zzimmmy

If it's really stuck, i'll just unscrew it from the dash and have a look when the whole lot is on my bench /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have often just left the cable connected until the engine & transmission are in the air and then disconnect it. Very easy, but you must remember to undo it at the right time.
