Removing Healy wood instrument panel BJ7

I have refinished the glove box but now the instrument cluster looks drab so I thought it would be easy to pull the instrument cluster off the same way. Doesn't seem like the same job.

I am only trying to loosen the entire panel first and then was going to take the instruments out one by one, but while the glove box had two bolt connections (one recessed in the door hinge area and another above the center of the glove box) it appear the instrument panel has those connections and a couple of others I can't see.

Can anyone take me stepwise through the right steps to remove the instrument panel...perhaps I have to disconnect all the gauges to see what I need to do...I was just hoping to pull the whole panel done and start from there.

Is that a BJ8 dash and glovebox on your BJ7. Or is it a custom dash? Maybe a photo to confirm? I don't know if the BJ7 had the same mounting points.
 
It is a BJ7 but it has a glove box made of burl walnut which I guess was only on the BJ8. As I am new to this the transition between the BJ7 and BJ8 was continious as Healy flowed through some of the designs. My car has the Mark II name plate, but seems to have some Mark III features.

Correct my understanding if I am wrong, but when I look at the Moss catalog my BJ7 dash looks identical to the BJ8 (page 104).

jersey, it has been my understanding the bj8 wood dash was exclusive to that model, meaning there hadnt been a transition from the wood dash on late model bj7's into the bj8, sounds as if a previous owner made the change, not to hard to do, might be a good idea to check all your cars i.d. numbers to identify it as being an authentic b.j.7.
