TR6 Removing doorlock TR6 without keys

When I bought my TR6 it came with keys for the ignition and for opening the boot but no keys for the doors. I thought that the key for the boot would also fit on the doors but unfortunately it doesn't.

I bought new locks for the doors but I can't remove the old locks. Does anyone know if there is a way to remove the locks if you don't have keys (without damaging the door)?

Thanks,
Peter

Well... in order to remove the locks from the doors, you will have to remove the window winder handle, door handle, and the interior panel. Once removed, it will give you access to the interior of the door. The lock is held on by a "clip". Remove the clip and you will be able to push the lock out. Then it's simply a matter of installing the new one in reverse order. Not a pleasant job, but it sounds like it needs to be done.
Good luck!

I don't worry about door locks. Unless you have a hardtop, keeping the car unlocked helps keep the top from getting cut.
