Removing Cam Followers

Okay, the head is off the engine and the rocker assembly has been removed. Now how do I get the cam followers out of their recesses? I tried sticking my finger into them and allowing the oil coating to create a suction but no dice. Maybe a wine bottle cork? Any ideas?
