remove a vent window

That is my question today. The 2 screws and spring under are undone, the 2 screws on the leading door frame are undone. It won't budge. What am I missing?

The bolt at the bottom of the window track.

thanks guys,,, so JP Bolt B is a guide that keeps the window track straight,

besides the bottom of the vent window track what else is attached to bolts "A"

looks like a 5 minute job....

A is only the bottom of the window track. I can't remember just off the top of my head but one of the tracks (I think the front) the flange (that the A bolts bolt onto) is removable from the track itself so you can slide the track out the hole - does that make sense?

B actually seems to force the track to curve. It's more of a "stop" than a bolt - in other words, it's not attached to the track itself, only the door.

not a hard job though you may need to loosen the rear track a little to make room for the track to slide out

ok so should the window be up or down to undo these two bolts? and once undone, then the vent window simply lifts out?

Sorta glad I don't have ANY side windows to deal with (other than side curtains which, to be honest, don't fit for diddly).

I got mine loose, they pulled about 3/4 of the way out, but not all the way out. Never quite figured out how to completely remove them without taking out the window glass also

I think you may have left the bottom bracket on - It's not really designed to come out without the window, but as I recall, it's doable

well I took out the bottom 2 bolts . That allowed the window to be lifted enough so that I could get the old rubber stip out and the new one in. It really is only a 3o minute job, to change the weather stripping on one door, start to finish. Thats how long it took to do the passenger side. Knowing what to do makes things so easy....

I think I will need to have a midget until I am to old to drive. I almost know how to fix everything.

My 87 yr old father and his girlfriend came by today. They bought a new Hundyai elantra. Nice car, but I told him don't come to me to fix anything other than add windshield fluid. The engine bay was clean, but I did not recognize anything except the rad....
