I forgot about a button I saw a long time ago under the hood. Tried it today while tuning up the car and it works. Is there any chance this came stock or was it added? 76 MGB

Added... to approximate the earlier cars, apparently. They had a button-type solenoid.
 
Yep, that's not original! The early cars that had them, had htem mounted on the inner fender up near the fuse box.
