56 TR3 - I plan to have my rear lever shocks rebuilt by Peter Caldwell. While I'm there, I'll inspect the springs as good as I can, but don't want to completely remove them from the chassis. Is it possible to replace the silent bloc bush and the rubber bushes on the rear shackles without removing the spring from the chassis? If so, replace them one end at a time (which one first) or drop the whole spring down on a jack and do both at once?

By the silent bloc bushings are you meaning the front end of the leaf spring? I just did those on my car (along with the rear shackle bushings). I would find it very difficult to do without removing the springs. Those front bushings were really in there - practically welded together by corrosion. I had to remove the inner rubber then use a hack saw to cut the metal part and use hammer/chisel and vice to get them out. Finally did....

The rear bushings are easy to do. The front are normally very difficult...and often not possible at all without lifting the body.
 
If you find the rear springs need replacement avoid the ones by British Heritage. The spring rate is way too high and the ones I got the rebound clips were 1/4" away from the top leaf. I got Earton Springs of Detroit to make me a pair of springs. They ride very well and are the correct rate for the car.
