refurbish rubber bumpers?

I have a set of rubber bumpers that are turning grey from oxidation. Got any tricks to renew them? I think I heard a fella once say that he wet sanded his with WD40.
 
Just lightly sand them with something like 120 grit paper & then spray with a satin black paint...I did these in 1993:

Agree with Tony, they sell stuff specifically for repainting thes black at the various chain auto parts stores, because they bumpers separate from the body a bit it is an easy job to mask these of and spray them in place, and I think you will be pleased with the results.

I sprayed mine with a bumper paint (not rattle can). Semigloss from a napa store. If gas gets on it, it will dull and soften it!And wipe off. I will redo it but use a paint that has a hardener next time. Bob
