TR6 Refinishing Exhaust Manifold

Have you considered ceramic coating as any paint will not last.
Gray or silver will be determined on what colour coating is available.
 
"Correct" is cast iron color, or as close to that as you can get. The factory did not paint the cast manifolds, as far as I know. Problem is the cast iron changes with heat and with exposure to the atmosphere, usually before they left the showroom. What you might do is sand blast the manifold and then try to match the fresh cast iron color.

Yeah, I've had no luck painting my manifold. Drives me crazy. I've sandblasted clean and prepped....sprayed and baked as per many of the high heat paints directions only to have it flake off a short time later.

I think ceramic coating is most likely the way to go...
