Refector that lights up for stop and turn

Johnny

Thanks for the info.

I went to the site and the lights look good.

Where exactly do the bulbs fit as I see that the reflectors are kind of flat?

Was there much modification required to fit them to conical reflectors. I have to buy new conicals because the originals have faded so much they are virtually white

I installed one of the Hendrix kits on my 65 BJ8L29057 last Sat. Pretty easy and looks GREAT! Safety improved and still looks original.

Greatly appreciate all the good info from this list. Thanks to all.

Thanks for the pic of the ceramic connector Dave. That looks tons more reliable than the push on spades. On my 60 BT7 I can do a do it your self kit.

Anyone know where just the connectors can be had?

I got the MR11 bulbs and the sockets from my local commercial lighting store.

Bighly,
If you search previous posts on this topic in the forum using the search facility, you will find some links to web sites where you can order the sockets online. That is what I did after trying the two closest stores that I thought would sell em but they didn't carry them.

No Derek the installation was quite easy. In fact the conical's I received from Moss some years back didn't have any of the silver paint/foil on the flat part of the reflector, which needs to be removed to allow the light to pass through. I used a one inch punch to produce the hole in the rubber. I first tried to cut the hole with an exacto knife but the rubber is way to thick. As the instructions say, "..be careful to center the hole or you'll end up cutting into the portion that holds the reflector to the car."
