TR4/4A Reducing rear chassis flex.

This is step 1.....welded in 65x8mm plate 900mm long to the centre chassis rails, together with additional bracing elsewhere.
More progress pics next week.

I need to do some work on mine this summer, so this project is interesting to me. I am looking on my phone and don't have my car handy for reference, looking forward to more pics and description. I know the two cars I have had you can feel the door Gap at the top back open and close with your fingers, interesting to see what improvements are made.
 
Step 2. Had a sheet of 3mm plate cut, and welded on. Maybe unnecessary, but why not..;)
Step 3. Welded in some 5mm thick strap braces linking the 3 bridges together.
Step 4. Boxed in the coil spring bridge supports.
Still have some chassis paintwork to complete.
