I was listening to a CD I got for Christmas and did an aural doubletake, if that's possible. The CD is Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris - All The Roadrunning.

I figured "Red Staggerwing" was about a bird or something. Would you believe it mentions a (Beech) Staggerwing, a red Maserati 300S (!) and a "Vincent Red Rapide" (Double !!)?

And I thought all the good music's already been written....
 
All I can say is, COOL.
I might just halfta get my hands on a copy of that. Knopfler rules!
 
One of my favorite guitar cd's is Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins. Remarkable.

That Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris CD might be worth looking into.
 
Mark Knopfler is one of the greats. I liked his CD with Emmylou Harris, but not enough to buy it.

I actually bought myself the CD with JJ Kale and Eric Clapton. Some good music on there.
 
Knopfler & Harris actually did that live on Imus (on MSNBC cable TV) a few months ago.

When I heard it, I though I was wrong, so I Googled the song...and sure enough! Neat!
