Have you ever heard the sound of your engine when it bounces the needle off the red line peg? Wow!
Gives the same feeling as seeing flashing lights in the mirror and you're the only one on the road.
Pulled out into traffic and the throttle stuck at the floor while I was shifting. Only lasted a second or so, but it was enough.
Fortunately it held together.

Once, but not on the road.
I had proped the accelerator pedal down all the way with my tool box to open the throttle for a compression test.
When I got thru, standing outside the door, I reached in and turned the key and simultaneously started around the car, tool box still on the pedal.
Fortunatly my hand was still near the door, so I was able reach back in and shut down quickly.
