Red fluid leak

Hello,
My '67 Midget has been sitting for about 3 weeks without me starting it. It's so cold here in IL, that even on my days off I don't feel like going to the garage and starting it. Lazy me.

Anyway, I've noticed it's leaking (surprise!?) some oil, which isn't a big deal. I've also noticed it's leaking some red fluid a bit. If it was an automatic, I would guess it's transmission fluid, but it's not. I thought maybe it could be brake/clutch fluid, but they're the same thing and it's a yellowish color.

Any ideas what this red fluid could be? It's near the front of the engine compartment.

Oil from the steering rack.

Do you have Zenith stromberg carb? If so, it could be leaking from there - I use auto transmission fluid in my Zeniths.

A '67 would most likely have SU's. I would look around the steering boots to see if someone used some type of red colored gear oil. Is it thin? like ATF?

Blood from previous owners and repairmen?

Lol.

I got Weber Downdraft (DGV) carb installed. I'll check out the steering equipment. I never thought about that.

As for consistency, I'm not sure. Will check that out as well.

This seems almost too basic to mention.

Where under the car is the puddle? What's above that? Is it damp with the dripping blood... er, red fluid?

Time to dispose of the body in the trunk?
