Recoring a radiator in aluminum

DrEntropy, pusher means that it's mounted on the side toward the engine compartment, and pushes air out through the rad, right?

Is it thermostatic or do you flip a switch?

A pusher fan is mounted in front of the radiator and pushes the air thru it toward the engine. a fan on the engine side of the radiator is labeled a puller fan because it pulls the air thru the radiator toward the engine.
