Hummm...French Toast?

Looks like the balloon didn't want to wait on him!

I don't see a boy scout in that list. Who tied the knots on the balloon?

Not a Boy Scout for sure! The balloon, however, will set a new world record for altitude reached!

What they NEEDED was a couple of LBC enthusiasts! We woulda done it right!!

Or at least provided plenty of obscure tools along with lots of duct tape and wd-40

Like a good frenchmen he surrendered before anything bad could happen.

Pretty sad that it happend and hopefully he will be able to get another ballon and try again.

$200,000 up in smoke....er, clouds.

I'm having a hard time getting my head around the cost. Three attempts has a 20 million (Dollar, Euro, Pound?) price tag. What the heck cost so much? Lobster and Filet Mignon?

The "Today" show talking head Lauer remarked at the end of the footage about how he'd been "Up in one of those." Then went on to ask of the others if they'd "ever been airborne in a hot air balloon."

What a nidiot.

Tho I did enjoy the segment a while ago when he got wrung out in a Navy Hornet.

He's French, 20 mil is probably cheap. After all count in the cost of good food, fine wine and champagne, expensive clothes, and one or more cute little mademoiselles over that time....
