Hi Guys,
Not sure how you all feel about the upright driving position of these cars but it was very uncomfortable to me so it had to change.
Since my crusade to improve the driving position I have been able to RECLINE the SEAT BACK 15° which has put a whole new twist on driving.
The purists will hate this idea but too bad for them, now my driving position is more like a race car and twice as comfortable.
Hopefully the photos can give you a good idea of "before and after" modification.
- Notice how the Rear Edge of the Cushion now sits between the flanges instead of being ripped open by those stupid little tabs that
only dig into the leather and make holes.
- Chrome Acorn Nuts, Dome Bolts and Fender Washers dress up the pivot points.
- You may want to pick up a spare set of seat bottoms frames to work on.
- The addition of the little blue cushion also helps support the base of your spine and fills the gap between the bottom and the back.
- I found some RED FELT at Jo Ann's Fabrics and spray glue helps to stick it on the foam.
Buona Fortuna,
Peter Carbone
