Rebuilding the front suspension.

I have the new bushings, new springs, a pair of Peter C's rebuilt shocks and other bits. The new wheel bearings and a few other parts will be here Monday.

So, I have been taking it apart and starting to clean for painting.

Did I need all the new parts? Maybe not but by doing all this work I have found a few things not properly assembled, a few parts that really should have been replaced, AND I found the cotter key missing on the drivers side wheel bearing nut.

I think I will check more of the PO's work!

BTW - Unless someone might want them, I plan on tossing the old front springs. They only have 38,000 miles and stand even to the same height, 9-3/4". If someone wants them you can have them for shipping cost.

There are those amongst us who have purchased springs from the usual sources in the past only to find that our beloved Spridget was turned into an off road Spridget due to mislabeled spings coming from those usual source. Took me 3 tries to get it right.
