TR2/3/3A Rebuilding Side Curtains TR3A Post 60000

After taking a look at the costs of commercially rebuilt and new side curtains I have decided to go ahead and rebuild the ones I have. I have all of the parts and found a buy, locally, on the right color vinyl. My wife no longer sews but she has an older heavy duty machine and a good friend that sews all the time.
The only thing I really need are some close up and detailed photos of some decent original side curtains, for sewing purposes. I need to be able to look at them and see how everything is sewed up.
If anyone out there can help me out I would deeply appreciate it.

Thanks, Tinkerman

I am in the process of building side curtains for TS37971. Did you ever figure out how to do the job and/or secure a set of photos to see what needs to be sewn? Hope you did, though I didn't see any replies to your post. Thanks.

Tinkerman,
I have a set of NOS Stanpart curtains. If photos of those will help, let me know via PM. If you can be specific as to what you want to see, that will make it easier.

I have taken Tom up on his offer. I will send whatever I get on to both of you. It would be much easier if the both of you would PM me with your email or check my profile and email me.

Cheers, Tinkerman

Hello Tinkerman,

I am also in the process of re-covering my late TR3A side screen frames. I purchased the windows from TRF, and right now I am getting the frames powder painted. However, I will try to get the vinyl sewn from raw material.

Can you send those pictures to me, too? They will be highly appreciated.

My email is jbenajes at mot.upv.es (

Thanks in advance.

Jesus

PS: I tried to PM you but it seems that you are over your "Private Topic limit".

PM problem fixed. Did not realize that I was over the limit, thanks for letting me know, Yes I will be happy to send what I have to you.
