I have a write-up on a puller I designed for TR3A hubs. It works well and I have removed about 10 hubs with no problems. It uses a strongback design to prevent warping the hub. It is a 900 KB pdf file (lots of pictures) so it is a bit of a download for those of us on dial-up. Be happy to send it to anyone.

Did you get it built? What did you use for plans? I am going to need one for my Spitfire, probably the same bolt pattern (?). There are some plans at the Spitfire/GT6 Mag pages (www.triumphspitfire.com/puller.html). If you are done, how did it go? Any tips? Thnx.
I presently have the puller made and welded up, all in stainless, what a peach.The next job is to make a set of 2 1/16" wrenches. Then i am ready to pull out hub assembly.I used the same blueprint as Alana has put in his message up top. I used a fine thread puller shaft with a hardened tip fitted to shaft end center, also made up a soft brass end center too. Welded a nut to end of rod and welded a nut to inside face of puller cavity.More to come!
I commend everyone willing to take the steps to build the right tool. I had dropped off my hubs this weekend at High Point Imports to have them rebuilt. Scott called this afternoon, with the question did you notice that one of the axle stubs had been shortened? Appears that in the past someone messed it up in a rebuild attempt and just cut off the end to get the nut on. This left it too short for the nyloc portion of the nut to work. The other side does not appear to have been redone. Guess they gave up after the first try.
Scott was excellent, providing another core to keep me on schedule, until I can pull one off my rust bucket donor.
So the word is, don't try this at home unless you have the right tools.

Nope, I'm afraid not. It's the same idea, but the wrong bolt circle for TR2/3/4/5/250/6. Canley didn't have the "big TR" version, last time I asked them.
It is correct for Spitfire, GT6, Herald, etc. I inquired about shipping on it a while back, and it wasn't too bad. At the price, probably the cheapest route, if it's the tool you need.
