Good luck. I put the manual in the mail to you today. Be sure to make a good sketch of how the shift rod detent balls and springs come out. Check the layshaft for wear. If you need to disassemble a gear from a gear assembly do it in a sealed zip lock bag so the balls and springs don’t go flying. You should only need to do that if you have a bad gear, but be careful when you handle the cluster of gears on the shift. The first time I did one I was handling it by an outer gear and it slid off and the balls and springs went flying. I never found them all. When you put it back together be sure to use loctite on the grub screws for the shift forks in addition to the jam nuts. When you get into it let us know what you find.

It's actually not that bad. Everything Chris said is good advice though. I love the tip about the ziplock bag. I found out the hard way what the synchro gears looked like on the inside..lol. Take lots of pictures along the way. They will be extremely useful when you are putting it all back together. Also follow the manual extremely close. There are parts that seem ready to remove that will end up being bound up by something else if you get out of sequence.
