Two things-(1) the special tool is available from rimmer bros in "professional" and "temporary" form. I bought a temporary, and it was just a circle for your finger, with threading to go in the top of the old pump to pull it out. I was unable to do it, so I paid an enormous amount to have a tech do it for me. (2) This is a big job, or an expensive one, so you really should buy a new pump, and these are often on ebay for around $150, or even pay rimmer bros the $300. If you rebuild and get a bad seal, you will have to do the whole process again! Good Luck...John
