What's involved in rebuilding an Armstrong lever shock? Is it possible to take one apart and replace the valve etc? What is it that wears in these units and can they be brought back to new witthout sending them out to Apple hydraulics or the like?

Send them to Peter and crew at NOS Import. You'll get your new ones before you sent you old ones so you won't even miss any driving!

I have disassembled the valve part, drained, cleaned, and refilled with new fluid with success. Not the same as rebuilding but sometimes that's all they need.

Simple an' easy. The return'd product will last beyond your lifetime.

But... Where's the fun in that?

I would think the hard part with rebuilding is parts. I haven't seen any internal shock parts available anywhere...

Let us know if you do, though.
