Yeah - but let's not stop there. How 'bout "International Events"?

Tom B: You probably need to give us some directions....chuck's coming from Evansville, IN, Mickey from Clarksville, TN, David & Joe from there in Memphis...&, me, I have my GPS in the event I forget how I got there last time!

We could have a sign in table...I'll try to remember to bring my digital camera; we'll just have to find somebody to take a group photo...

Tony: I can meet you out on HWY-72 and you can follow me to Tom's. I live in Collierville, TN which is where HWY-72 turns into Poplar Ave. Takes me 5 minutes to get there. My B will be happy to see you!

Whats the trailer for?

David...thanks for the offer...actually, I was just joshing (my dry sense of humor gets me it trouble every now & then)...I've been to Tom's before...
....ah, the trailer: the plot thickens, eh?

undoubtedly Tony has found a B in need of a home in Memphis

...&, my trailer has an electric winch so I don't need help pushing it on, I think....

David.......5 minutes from Collierville to Tom's place!!! ****NNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!

chuck...remember those "MG Support VEhicle" decals I have on the Sonoma...you need a set...only thing you'd have to change is the website!

Chas de B had a sign like that in the back window of his Subaru Beer Wagon at St Looie. I thought about having some made up then

You can see mine next Friday...think 'Barney' out in Utah gave them to me as a B'day gift....my local sign place gave me a real sweet deal if I were to buy quantity!

Took the block, crank, pistons, rods, head and cam to the machine shop yesterday. This place has computer balance equipment which will check dimensions, tolerances, etc., provide all baseline information, and then outline what needs to be done, finally balancing everything. The results are all documented, and then turned over to the customer in a folder. I was duly impressed with the place, though first impression wasn't that great.

Turns out that a local fellow named Hutton builds Lotus racing engines for folks all over the world, and he uses these guys. He started out with Cosworth Vegas. He's got a couple of Elites in the works now - his specialty. One has an all new body, and is being shipped off to be painted. Can't wait to see it when they get it back.

Anyway, the motor is on its way to being put back together. I'll be ordering pistons as soon as I get word what size I can get. Will be going back mostly stock, with just a little tweaking.

Body is at the body shop being prepped for Black Tulip paint job. This winter will be spent cleaning and restoring all the little stuff at home, then hopefully will begin reassembly in the spring. Looking forward to bugging all of you with lots of questions!

Yeah, it sure did. I debated starting another one to update, but decided to keep this one going just to see if anyone would remember what it was about!

Anyway, I sorted out some more of the parts yesterday. Got this car literally in boxes (by the way, don't try this at home!) and it appears that everything is there, but much of the trim needs replacing/rechroming. Tony supplied me with a nice '72 body that's in much better condition than the one I had. But like I said, I'll be in touch with all of you to see if you have the bits and pieces I'll need.
