rebuild motor

My 1800cc Mercedes has 187 lbs/ft of torque at 1,700rpm and my BJ7, according to Spam's rolling road, has 148lbs/ft at just under 3000. The Merc has a Turbo and is considerably faster than the Healey, but here's a hotted up healey revving past 7000. No idea how much power, but it sounds very different to my car and probably doesn't have great torque ;)

Looks just right, just the way it is. Bet you have many fond miles in that one.

But if you want to go racing, these boys know how to tweak it.

In standard trim, they are an extremely pleasant touring car, but any sort of hotting up and they're ruined IMO, unless you need it for some sort of competition.

My TR3A is standard all but a slightly hotter fast road cam and even that was a mistake. It doesn't tick over reliably and it needs to rev past 3000 to overtake and by then it's noisy and fatiguing. Much better standard IMO
