Who has experience using late(er) rods, pistons, and crankseals for retor fit to the old 3.4L?
I am reading that Jag DID make a 3.4L in the mid '70 until ??. I also read that those pistons can be fitted to the older 3.4L's and the pistons are NEAR 9:1 compression ratio. I need to know what has to be done to use them. I also read that the rods from an S3 should be used because they are stronger than the old ones. The bushings need to be replaced and the big end needs to be resized..... any info on this would help too. Finally, I read the seals from a 4.2 along with the 4.2 seal holders should be used. I guess all you 4.2 owners don't have leaks at the crank seals, right?
